What is Adobe Certified Associate - Adobe Video Communication Studies?
Adobe Premiere Pro is a timeline-based video editing software application. It is part of the Adobe Creative Suite, a suite of graphic design, video editing, and web development applications developed by Adobe Systems, though it can also be purchased separately. When purchased separately, it comes bundled with Adobe Media Encoder, Adobe Encore, and Adobe OnLocation. Premiere Pro supports many video editing cards and plug-ins for accelerated processing, additional file format support, and video/audio effects. Starting with the version in Creative Suite 5 (CS5), it is a native 64-bit application for Mac and Windows, making it one of the few cross-platform non-linear editing systems (NLEs) available. As a 64-bit application, it does not run on 32-bit computers. However, in the Master Collection and Production Premium Suites, a version of Premiere Pro CS4 is included for 32-bit computers.
Adobe conducted research to identify the foundational skills students need to effectively communicate using digital media tools. Based on feedback from educators, design professionals, businesses, and educational institutions around the world, the objectives cover entry-level skill expectations for Video communication.

Identifying Design Elements When Preparing Video
2.1 Demonstrate knowledge of how to organise and plan a video sequence.

Editing a Video Sequence with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5

4.2 Organise and manage video clips in a sequence.
4.3 Manage sound in a video sequence.
4.4 Manage superimposed text and shapes in a video sequence.
4.5 Manage effects in a video sequence.
Exporting Video with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5
5.1 Demonstrate knowledge of export options for video.
5.2 Demonstrate knowledge of how to export video from Adobe Premiere Pro.
Assessment and Award
You will be assessed on this course by submitting various assignments to the College. Once you have successfully completed the assignments for this course, you will be required to register at any Certiport exam centre, an independent third party testing centre. Please note that the exams fees are not covered with the course fees.
Preparation for exam
Certification exams are computer-delivered, clock-book tests consisting of 30-50 multiple choice questions. Each exam takes 50 minutes to complete, and results are given to you at the testing centre immediately after you finish. You can log on to www.certiport.com to register for an exam.
