College SA School of Photographic Studies
What is Photographic Studies?
Photographic Studies teaches students how to use resources such as lighting, design elements and modern technology to set up the perfect composition for any given picture. Important aspects such as layout, framing and technique are dealt with, whilst attention is also given to how technical aids like digital software (Photoshop programmes) can be used to create the desirable image. As digital photography has basically taken over and replaced the usage of photographic film, students need to be able to use a computer to edit and manage their digital photos.
Why should I study Photographic Studies?
Photographic Studies would grant you access to countless job opportunities and entrepreneurial prospects as it is an interdisciplinary field. One could for instance work for newspapers as a photo journalist or become a wedding photographer, landscape photographer, portrait photographer, fashion photographer, wildlife photographer, sports photographer, and many, many more... Becoming a photographer is an exciting option and no one day would be exactly like the previous.
