CompTIA A+
Your first step in launching your career as an IT professional is to complete a CompTIA A+ course which will prepare you to write your examinations so that you can become certified as a computer technician.
The following are the CompTIA A+ courses offered by College SA:
1. CompTIA A+ Windows Vista Essentials
Successful completion of CompTIA A+ Windows Vista Essentials will mean that you have obtained computer technician skills using Microsoft Windows Vista.
There are two components to this course, namely, the Essentials component, and the Practical Application component. Both components are necessary in order to write the two exams that form part of the CompTIA A+ certification:
- 220-701 for CompTIA A+ Essentials
- 220-702 for CompTIA A+ Practical Application
Although previous computer qualifications are not necessary in order to complete the CompTIA A+ Windows Vista Essentials certificate, you should note that this course is not for complete beginners, and it will therefore be expected that you will already have basic knowledge and understanding of computers.
2. CompTIA A+ Windows Vista Comprehensive
The CompTIA A+ Windows Vista Comprehensive course is different from the Essentials course mentioned above in that this Comprehensive course is taught at an accelerated (faster pace) for students who already have some existing knowledge of, and support experience with, networked desktop and notebook computers running Windows 2000 Professional or any Windows XP or Windows Vista operating system.
This course will prepare students, at an accelerated pace, for the two exams that make up the A+ certification:

Almost all organisations need skilled network support professionals. Completing your CompTIA N+ certification will demonstrate your abilities as a network professional, and enhance your IT networking career.
College SA offers one course for the CompTIA N+ Certification, namely, CompTIA N+ Windows Vista.
