WHAT IS BUSINESS LAW AND ACCOUNTING CONTROL?
A skills programme in basic contract law, insolvency law, estate planning, internal and computer auditing.
COURSE STRUCTURE SUMMARY
In order to successfully complete Business Law and Accounting Control, all of the following Learning Modules must be completed:
• Learning Module 1: The unspoken laws of business • Learning Module 2: The written laws of business • Learning Module 3: Managing you personal finances • Learning Module 4: Accounting systems – Internal control concepts • Learning Module 5: Managing accounting systems • Learning Module 6: Accounting systems – Stock control • Learning Module 7: Accounting systems – Analytical review • Learning Module 8: Liquidation and executors’ accounts
ASSESSMENT AND AWARD
Once you have successfully completed the necessary assignments prescribed by College SA, you may apply to complete the examinations with the ICB. Upon successful completion of your one exam, ICB will certify you with a statement of competence showing the respective unit standards which you have completed and FASSET will award you with a Unit Standard Certificate.

THE INSTITUTE OF CERTIFIED BOOKKEEPERS
The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) was established in 1931 with the objective of promoting quality training and qualifications for Junior Bookkeepers, Senior Bookkeepers and Accounting Technicians in Southern Africa, as well as providing qualifications in the areas of Office Administration and Business Financial Management.
IMPORTANT EXAM INFORMATION
It is very important that you register as a Student Member of the ICB, and that you register for your Exams, before the exam registration closing date. Note that if you are not a Student Member of the ICB, your registration for the exam will not be accepted.
Please note that the ICB Exam fees are not included in your programme fees.
“ALL-INCLUSIVE” OPTION
If you want your Tuition fee with the college to include all your exam fees and your membership fees, you can choose our “all inclusive” package. This is a little more expensive, but then we take care of all membership and exam fees, and alert you to fill in the membership and exam forms.
If you choose this option, you can pay all your study costs in a single in-advance payment, or in monthly payments. This means that you do not have to worry about being able to afford future exam fees and membership fees, since the college will take care of it on your behalf.
Note that the All-Inclusive option gives you membership and subscription for one year. And that the college will pay for one exam per subject. If you fail an exam, you will have to make additional payments to re-write the exam.
