WHAT IS VISIO PROFESSIONAL 2003?Visio Professional 2003 is a program that allows you to use diagrams to illustrate ideas, numerical data, processes and systems. It is a business and technical diagramming program. You can use Visio Professional 2003 to make sure everybody gets the same information and that the information is understandable and precise. The task panes that are available on the right side of your screen in the program gives you easy access to the following features: A. Getting Started B. Help C. Clip Art D. Research E. Search Results F. New Drawing G. Template Help H. Shared Workspace I. Document Updates J. Reviewing The Search For Shapes feature allows you to find shapes directly from the Visio Shapes Window. If you are online, you will have access to the database of shapes that are continually updated. Personalised Shape Management allows you to organise the shapes you use most often in a way that you can find them quickly when you need them. Visio Professional 2003 offers new rotation handles so that you do not need to change tools when rotating. You can select more than one shape to make organisation of you diagram more efficient. With the colour schemes feature, you can choose a colour scheme for the background and shapes that will give your diagram a professional edge. The DWG converter allows you to convert your drawings with more fidelity so that you can work easily with the spaces and shapes. Brainstorming templates allow you to have all your ideas organised in one place. The ideas can all be linked and the relationships shown. You can import you calendar from MS Office Outlook to Visio Professional 2003. This allows you to use important schedule information and to compare calendars. The Organisation Chart feature allows you to add pictures to shapes, show relationships between shapes and you can change your layout without any difficulty. The Startup Wizard helps you to import your data quickly and easily. You can get started quickly and import drawings, shapes, etc. at the push of a button. With the Detailed Diagram feature you can document the logical and physical topology of your network. The Rack Diagram feature allows you to make a quick sketch of the rack space you will need for the goods that must be stored. The Web Site Map lets you draw quickly and with ease because the compact layout options allow you to make quick decisions. You also have access to editable shape text to make your job easier. Visio supports Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) which is the new standard for graphic formats.
