WHAT IS WINDOWS SHAREPOINT LEVEL 2?

Your job might require you to perform more advanced administration of sites you own, or even administer multiple sites and the SharePoint Services environment as a whole. In this course, you will manage team sites as a site owner and as a SharePoint Services administrator.

In essence, Windows SharePoint is software technology that allows businesses or networks to use an intranet service, in other words to create their own internal web pages where employees can find the information they need. This system also allows users on the same network to exchange documents, which means that a company has the option of creating a public platform where information can be exchanged.

• Manage a site collection and lists.
• Manage a discussion board and libraries.
• Manage site access permissions.
• Manage a workflow.
• Work with indexing and searching.
• SharePoint application using central administration.
• Manage security options in WSS and site usage.
• Perform site maintenance.

ASSESSMENT AND AWARD

You have to successfully complete and submit assignments in order to pass this course. Once you have successfully completed the assignments prescribed by College SA, you will be awarded a College SA Certificate in Windows SharePoint Level 2 (Including Level 1).

This course is ideal for IT managers who are already familiar with website administration and who are now responsible for managing and administering a Windows SharePoint Services site. It could also be useful to an individual who is responsible for managing and administering a team site.
