I am older than 23. I Failed Matric Long Ago

The Bad News

If you are older than 23, and you never passed your Matric, then you will find it nearly impossible to get a Matric. The Matric that adults could do, is no longer offered. So there is no longer a part-time or distance education Matric for adults.

The only way that adults can get a Matric is to go back to school...

The Good News!

There are many ways for you to study without Matric. You can start at an academic level that is the same as Matric (NQF level 4) or even a bit lower (NQF 3). And then you can study up from that level, until you are at an academic level that is the same as Matric (NQF 4) or even higher (NQF 5 and higher).

None of these studies will give you a Matric Certificate. But if you do an Accredited course, at NQF 4 level, with a Registered College, then you have a qualification that is recognised on the same academic level as Matric.

If you want to apply for a job or promotion that requires Matric, you will see that they say you need "Matric or Equivalent" for that job. Any accredited course at NQF 4 level, is equivalent to a Matric. This means it is on the same academic level.
