Teaching Studies

Teaching is the art of educating students. You either teach them how to do something or broaden their knowledge on a certain subject. This is a very important function in our lives. Without teaching, there is no learning. And without learning, you’ll never accomplish your goals.

People think that teaching is limited to a teacher who is educating students in a class room. This is absolutely not the case. There are many fields in teaching you can pursue, and because of the constant development and growing in this industry, new fields of specialisation emerge every day.

Teaching involves helping, enriching and developing people’s skills, which implies that you’re helping them grow. At the same time, you are also preparing them for the future.

Teaching studies include various courses that focus on developing, enriching and helping students of all ages to grow.

What fields of study are related to Teaching Studies?

When you think about how broad the field of Teaching Studies is, courses in Child Day Care, Counselling and Writing most certainly fall into this category. Let’s briefly discuss these fields.

Child Day Care

Teaching children how to take care of themselves and how to spot danger is also a form of teaching. This helps them to grow and prepare them for their adulthood so that they can one day teach their children how to keep themselves healthy and safe. Teaching them how to read and write is also important for starting school.

Your duties as a teacher at a day care centre will include tasks like teaching the children how to read and write, educating them about their bodies and keeping them healthy, protecting themselves from danger and how to get along with their friends and teachers.

Sport Coaching

Training and teaching a sports team is lots of fun. Coaches form bonds with their teams and they become a close family. They teach their players how to look after themselves by showing them how to warm up before training or a game. They also teach them about nutrition and what food to eat to support body muscle and weight.

As the coach, you train your team to be the best they can be. You teach them how to work and play together. It is a pleasurable job that gives you the opportunity to travel around.

Counselling

There are many different professions in counselling. These range from school counselling to psychiatric counselling. Giving advice to your own friends is also a form of counselling. Counselling people involves giving them advice on life and how to deal with problems, either by solving them or making them better.

As a counsellor, you will build a confidential relationship with your patients. You let them talk about what is troubling them and give them guidance on how to deal with everything and how to be more positive.

Writing Studies

Writing forms part of teaching. Learning how to write general articles or even poems can come very handy. And being able to teach other people these skills forms a part of teaching. Teaching small children how to write and spell is also very important for them to be geared up for school.

Becoming a tutor can be an option. Students that struggle with writing essays, poems and reports at school, need private tutors to help them master these skills. You could be that person!
