There are many different professions in counselling. These range from school counselling to psychiatric counselling. Giving advice to your own friends is also a form of counselling. Counselling people involves giving them advice on life and how to deal with problems, either by solving them or making them better.
As a counsellor, you will build a confidential relationship with your patients. You let them talk about what is troubling them and give them guidance on how to deal with everything and how to be more positive.
Writing forms part of teaching. Learning how to write general articles or even poems can come very handy. And being able to teach other people these skills forms a part of teaching. Teaching small children how to write and spell is also very important for them to be geared up for school. Becoming a tutor can be an option. Students that struggle with writing essays, poems and reports at school, need private tutors to help them master these skills. You could be that person!
